Looking out my Kitchen Window...

Oh it is so nice to be home as I have been in Melbourne again for a week and it was so hot there, just could not wait to get back home again.

This morning while standing at my kitchen sink I looked out the window and to my delight there were the family of wild ducks wandering around on the dead grass, oh there is a little green on there now since we had some rain last week, it was just a little rain but enough to get the grass growing again. Then looking over across the car park to the water a lone pelican bobbing up and down on the water. In the distance my eye got caught with a black swan flapping its large wings with tits white tips showing. I had the front door open and the sound of the lorikeets screeching to each other was music to my ears.

The sun is hidden by thick white and soft grey clouds with a hint of brightness to them. We had a little rain overnight to moisten the dry parched ground. Probably brought some worms up to the surface for the ducks to peck at!

It is good to go back to Melbourne once a month as it makes me really appreciate my situation here and how lucky we are to have this wonderful spot on this earth.

Today I am spending the day finishing off some books I made at a class in Bairnsdale yesterday, it was a great day and thank goodness for the air conditioner, it made the day all the more pleasant!!

gotta go now and get stuck into my books!!

luv Jill
