Stunning morning!!!!!!!!

I have woken up this morning at 6 a.m. in my favourite spot!! Yep on the reclining chair in the lounge room with the telly still going, Rusty my little ginger cat cuddled up to me on top of a mohair rug, she was so warm and happy.

I have opened the curtains to be greeted with the best sunrise!!! The tree lined water's edge was simply orange!!!! Just stunning!!!! Now it is a softer orange glow it is just beautiful. I have heard the weather forecast for the day and they are predicting rain!!! Are we on the same planet???? Last night the sky was so clear, the moon was so bright and the sky was magical with a stunning display of the stars, so clear and the milky way was so visible. This was at about 11.30pm as we stepped out of the car after being in Bairnsdale for the Buddy is back show. (Buddy Holly).

I am sitting in the lounge room and as I look out the windows I can see small groups of cormorants flying over the water obviously going out for the day fishing for food. No boats in view, a slight ripple on the water, cannot even see any swans this morning. It is so quiet out there. The usual screeching of the cockies and rosellas and parakeets are no where to be heard or the magpies have not been by as yet. Maybe it is too early for them and they are all still asleep. Uh what is that??? I can see over by the island some small black dots in the water??? It is a large group of swans moving out into the water. Maybe I have woken up before the birds!!! lol...

There goes Sassy, barking out loud, a lady is outside with her dogs for her usual morning walk doing laps around the car park. A car has pulled up in the car park and a man is out there walking is dog up past our place. and so the day starts again. We have had some glorious days here with the sun keeping us warm as it penetrates the windows on the verandah and helps warm up the house. The sun has not quite broken it's seal to burst out for the day, but the orange glow with the dark outline of the trees is breathtaking. Wish you were here to see it.

So what is ahead for the day??? Am off to the gym this morning,

ah here is the sun it is here for the day I hope.

where was I?? oh yes off to the gym first thing 7.30 then off to the hairdressers with Mum at 9.30 and back home to finish off some cards I have been making for Lesley. Will have a whole shoe box of cards to go down with Gerard when he goes to Melbourne this week. Yay I will have the house to myself for a while....

News to hand on the trapped miners in Beaconsfield Tasmania. The two and a half tonne drill has cut through two metres of rock, still got 14 metres to go, no complications at this point. Thos poor men how awful for them it is 9 days since the mine collapsed around them. A miracle they are still alive. Hope the whole rescue gives good results.

The sun is slowly moving around the verandah and pretty soon I will not be able to see as the sun will hit my eyes as it pours it's rays through the windows and finds me!!

Well it is just after 7 a.m. now and I had better get up and drink a heap of water before my cardio workout.

Oh how gorgeous, apparently in Japan there is a heat wave and the Pandas at the zoo have been given large blocks of ice to cool them down, they are playing with the block on their tums and their fur is all wet. Also have put some air conditioners on for them!!!

Joke for the day from the cres on the telly programme Sunrise.......... Hickory dickory dock the mice ran up the clock, the clock struck one and the other mice got away with minor injuries!!!!

On that note, will talk again soon.

luv Jill xxx
