It is interesting how one's diet can change one's mood!!
I have gone off the rails real bad with the "NO CHOCOLATE" !!!!! I was doing so well and had changed my food intake with no chocolate for at least 10 weeks, also changed a few other food items and was feeling real good!!! Joining the gym and having a weight loss challenge with Machele was just the best thing to do. BUT I gave in to peer pressure and had "just that little bit" of chocolate cake, and then that one hot chocolate, and then just that one piece of chocolate too many times and that was it!!!!Thank goodness Easter is gone now and the temptation of those yummy Cadbury eggs are not in sight.. I went to the gym this morning the first time in a month and feel a lot better now that I have been.... So it is now back to NO CHOCOLATE once again. I just cannot have that "ONE" piece, bit like an alcoholic by the looks of things.
Gerard came along with me this morning to the Gym, after a bit of encouragement and he seems to be interested in going again. He wants to lose some weight off his tumm.... So hopefully this will be an interest for him too. He is working a lot of hours at the servo now with less staff on hand, so that keeps him busy. Looks like we are going to be like the "OLDIES". We have been having tea so late at night seeing he does not get home from the servo til 9.15pm. So he has suggested having his hot meal at midday!!!! OMG!!! never thought I would be having my main meal at midday!!! But we might eat a bit better this way, pardon the punn, but it will "eat" into the day a bit, but what the heck...
Anyway the season has changed a lot, gets dark now by 5.30pm, real depressing getting up in the morning with a dull day, no sunshine, but hopefully the winter will not be around for too long and we will be back to the lovely weather. Looks like we may have to go visit our "friends" u up in Queensland during the winter months!!! What do you reckon Annette and Paul?????
The Cormorants are starting to fly over in the mornings and back at night again, a spectacular sight as there are so many of them, it is amazing to see them. Ibis are back wandering about the place, the usual couple of rosellas are calling for their bird seed, maggies still come for the odd bit of food too.
Easter was rather busy around here with lots of people on holiday, basically the last long holiday session for a while with good weather,. Machele came down for the four days while Tamyka went away with a friend and her family. The time went by so quickly and we both got some paper work done which was good.
It is lovely sitting out on the verandah on those sunny mornings taking in the warmth without having to think about having the heaters on. Yes we have had the heater on in the house and the leccy blanket also has been lovely at night!!
I am sooo excited!!!!!!!
After the Commonwealth Games finished they had a sale of all the stuff used while the games were on. I have always been talking about having an umpires chair and everyone laughs at me! I want one so that I can sit up high and look over the trees to see what is happening further out in the water. Looking out for dolphins in one reason. Anyway I saw them advertising the same of the Games stuff and have ended up buying one of the "Crowd Controllers" chairs. At the moment it is at Machele's place in her garage until we can get the monster chair back here. Am looking forward to having it set up here, wish we could have got two so can sit up there with a friend also!!!! Anyway one will have to do..
Am picking Mum up soon to go to the local community centre as they are having an expo on vision aids for people with things like cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration etc. Might help mum with something!!!! Or maybe even me!!!!! Find I need the old magnifying glasses more often for close work these days!!!
So I will get off the Blog now and have a chat later on.
bye for now
luv Jill xxx
